Why wait to see your GP if you have minor ailments when your pharmacist can help?
The Minor Ailments Service is available in all our pharmacies and is a service where your pharmacist can offer advice and, if necessary, prescribe medication to treat certain minor health conditions.
Currently there are eight conditions covered by this service:
- Earache and temperature
- Hay fever
- Vaginal Thrush
- Sore throat
- Conjunctivitis (red eye)
- Oral thrush (in babies)
- Simple Urinary tract infection (cystitis) in women
- Head lice
- Impetigo
Consultations are always free and confidential, regardless of whether the pharmacist has given you any medication.
