Urgent Care Centre / Minor Injury Unit

Minor Injury Units and Urgent Care Centres offer convenient access to a range of treatment for minor illnesses and injuries including infections, rashes, fractures and lacerations, emergency contraception and advice, stomach upsets, cuts, bruises, burns and strains.

You will be seen by an experienced nurse, without an appointment.

Minor Injuries Unit (MIU)

Minor Injury Units provide treatment for less serious injuries, such as cuts and grazes, minor burns, sprains and emergency contraception.
If you have a minor injury you are likely to be treated much quickers at a Minor Injury Unit than in A&E because A&E give priority to life-threatening conditions.
You do not need an appointment at a Minor Injury Unit.

We have two Minor Injury Units within Central and Eastern Cheshire
